Terms of use

Short, readable, and specific about what the licence does and does not allow.

  • Version 2.0
  • updated 2026-09

1. What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of the Newlii website and its free calculators. By using the site, you accept these terms.

2. Free tools

You may use calculator results inside your organisation and in work delivered to clients. You may link to the tools and cite Newlii as the calculator source. You may not copy the site or present a Newlii tool as your own hosted product.

3. Estimates and professional review

Calculator results are estimates based on the values you enter and the assumptions shown on the page. We do not warrant that a result is complete, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Confirm engineering, financial, procurement and safety decisions with an appropriately qualified professional or supplier.

4. Availability

We may correct, change, suspend or remove a tool. We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

5. No current paid products

Newlii does not currently take payment or sell downloads through this website. Terms for a future paid product will be published before that product becomes available.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the site to break the law, infringe third-party rights, interfere with service, probe for vulnerabilities or scrape it at a volume that degrades access for others.

7. Third-party references

Names, trademarks and external resources referenced by a tool belong to their owners. A reference does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Newlii is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on a calculator result.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. The version and date at the top of this page identify the current terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms go to hello@newlii.com.
